Concept Art

Our Art team works with your designers to understand the vision of your game before starting on the concept sketches for the direction you want the game to take. We also provide suggestions in areas that might need iterations to meet your deadline and budget.

Character Art
(2D and 3D)

Our team works together with your designers to understand the vision of your gaming characters, finalize how they look like and how they interact with one another. When creating a character, we look at the complete picture: Looks, Movement, and interaction with the world and character attributes. Our team is well versed in Maya, Max, Blender, ZBrush and other digital software to bring characters to life.

Environment Art
(2D and 3D)

Our Concept artists work with game designers, producing features and environment to influence the overall look of the game. Our artists create a mood board and produce features that help set the theme of the game and make the game world look authentic. The team works on the texturing and colours that help build the world and landscape of the game.

Character Animation
(2D and 3D)

Once the characters are created, our animation team works closely with game designers to understand the animations required and bring to life the characters and anything that moves in the game.

Motion Capture Integration

If the game requires ultra-realistic character animations, our team will work closely with a motion capture agency to integrate the actions captured during the mocap sessions to the characters in the game.

Visual FX

Whether it is a character with superpowers, weapons (realistic and fictional) or world events such as hurricanes, dust storms, etc., our team of visual effect artists will bring your world to life.

Frequently Asked Questions

A lot of time and effort goes into producing a quality game, especially if it is a complex one. Finding the right talent, ensuring that they are within the budget, and meeting deadlines puts a strain on in-house teams, especially as they also need to ensure that the quality of the game does not fall in the process. Outsourcing your game art production helps mitigate the above challenges as many game art production studios like Ixie take a streamlined approach to each project allowing you to better manage your time and resources.

Any information on your vision of the game, such as budget, deadline, whether your game will be 2D or 3D, the characters, etc., will help our Team put together a plan of action. Our Team is well-versed in Unity, Maya, 3DS Max, and other digital software to help bring your game art to life. Having a detailed game design document containing the above information will also help keep the initial vision of the project intact.

While there are a lot of talented freelancers, most freelancers are specialized and you will need to manage different freelancers for different needs. This is not the case with a studio. A studio is more organized and takes an iterative approach while creating and implementing art for your game, whether it is character or environment, animation, or VFX. With a studio, you can be assured that your art needs are in good hands while focusing on other priorities.

The cost will vary from project to project depending on the complexity of the game, the level of animations needed, the number of characters, and our client’s requirements.
